By Adam Stossel

Before the age of online selling, opening a new business required a ton of startup money, and countless hours of physical labor and mental strain that still inevitably lead to failure on the new owners behalf. In this new age of virtual business, starting up your own company can fun, easy and require little to no money invested into its inception. Time, a computer and a great appliance product is all that is required and before you know it you will be on your rise to successful business ownership. Before you jump in with both feet, take a moment to read over our excellent pointers to assure you are moving in the right direction.

You target of having a broad customer base could be fulfilled by use of emails and through social net working sites. Your customers will always be busy with their work, so in your own interest you must regularly remind your customers about your store. Reminders through emails and social media net works would catch their attention immediately.

LinkedIn is an interesting way to promote your website. Explain the benefits of shopping with you instead of your competitions. Write a clear, concise message regarding what appliance and sales you offer. Ask them to sign up to be added to your mailing list. Then they will expect email or newsletters.

When supplying images of your appliance for the customers to see, ensure that there are several photos of each item from different angles. They want to know exactly what you're offering. Including 360 degree views of the appliance product is sure to show your customer every aspect of the item.

Make your website easy to navigate. Do not clutter so much information on the page. Leave adequate space. Use links that clearly define how to move about the site. Sophisticating your website may end up only complicating it, making it harder for your customers to navigate.

Allowing customers to rate your business and leave feedback may be a great tool to gain trust with possible clients. But be warned that this will allow you to see a bad side of customers; they will complain and leave bad reviews if anything goes wrong, so just try your hardest to not let anything go wrong.

Keep a close eye on your competition and check out their site every so often to see what they may be offering or how they're advertising. In this way you can get a feel for how the market is doing, see if anyone is copying you, and maybe improve your own advertising.

Good thing about working as a storefront for other business is that you can estimate a tax as a percentage of the vendors' profits. The vendor would take care of the kitchen appliance as well as the shipping while you would keep all the payments in escrow, safely, until the appliance product arrives, just to assure that your vendor is fair-dealing one.
