Click For Delivery - Selling Apparel Through The Internet

By Joe Smith

Having your own online clothing business has a lot of pros like flexibility and working from home, however without a proper business plan in place it won't be profitable. Our article below lists tips and tricks to take into consideration when setting up your business plans to make sure you're profitable.

There is a foolproof formula for listing your apparel. Make sure to bundle the cost of packing and delivery to the market value of the apparel product but don't add anything else. By padding the price too much you won't be able to remain competitive.

Don't neglect forums. There is a web forum for just about anything you can imagine. If you have someone participate regularly on a forum with a link in your signature it's going to increase traffic. The more your shop is exposed the more you sell. The more you sell the more you'll earn.

All of your policies should be clear and written out for customers to see. That way there is no ambiguity and they know exactly who and what they are purchasing from.

Customers that receive properly functioning apparel will be satisfied. Some customers such as those that are local to you would like to test out the apparel product before they actually purchase it. You want to regularly test that the functions of the apparel product work flawlessly. This should be done before you have orders for the apparel.

Design your site in such a way that it has a wow effect on your visitors. The first impression that visitors get will determine whether they will stick around long enough to make a purchase or not. The site should be eye catching and intriguing enough to hold the attention of your visitors.

Add a group sharing network where people can just chat. Free webinars or guest postings that offer how-to suggestions will attract more visitors. Give the group a name that will attract people with similar interests. Ask them to spread the word to their family and friends.

Run a custom webinar to get customers really considering your apparel. This doesn't make sense for all web shops but for most. One company ran a two hour webinar on how to fit different types of shoes. They ran special advertisements every ten minutes on the bottom of the screen. They filled more orders (and shoes) in that two hour stretch than they had in their busiest month.

Navigation of your site is the key to keeping your customers. Due to the number of competitive sites online, customers will exit your site whenever they end up with a deadline and most of them will never return. So keep the navigation simple and make sure that all the links are working and leads to the correct places.

Educate yourself on the rules and regulations of hosting an online apparel store. You need to familiarize yourself with the law of contract and suitability standards so you can be successful and not be penalized for negligible actions.
