Use AdWords More Effectively Even as a Beginner

By Reggie Sasengbong

Even though Google AdWords is not something new and pay per click has been used for a significant amount of time, people still have problems mastering it.

It takes significant accuracy and knowledge to be able to create ads that deliver great results, meaning that it takes quite a while to learn how to use AdWords properly. If you think you can invest a few hundred bucks, slap up an ad and get all the traffic/sales you want, then you're wrong. If you are after high conversions from a targeted audience then you need to be calculated when you create your ads and post them on AdWords so you can avoid wasting money.

Why not? It's simple, if you go for keywords that are broad, then you won't really get many conversions from your campaign. Even if you get a lot of visitors, you will end up with a terrible ROI because you are paying a lot more money for every click. It's better to use target keywords that will provide you with clicks that generate conversions. Considering that every click your campaign generates means money out of your bank account, they are all precious. Therefore, the key is to resort to keywords that are appropriate and specific to your campaign. An important rule is to never include keywords in your campaign that are too expensive for you. Reviewing and testing your advertisements is vital--it is just as important as the creation of your campaign overall. Testing your ads and making adjustments based on those tests is important. Running your own good campaign for advertising is not that different than just doing a bunch of tests in a row. This is important so that you can keep on optimizing your campaign to get the best results. If you notice that a particular campaign isn't getting a lot of clicks or impressions, be sure to make it better or get rid of it. This is necessary because often poor performing ads can cripple the whole campaign.

Lots of people make mistakes in their spelling when entering a keyword into the search engine box. Since no one will be competing for them, you should bid on these misspelled keywords. It makes sense to target misspelled keywords because they tend to get a lot of targeted traffic, and it will help you get cheaper clicks for your campaign. However, be sure that they keywords you're using through this method are relevant and targeted.

Releasing your fear of loss and failure is the only way you will ever truly succeed with Google AdWords. Taking calculated risks is impossible if you are frozen by your fear of loss and failure. The key phrase here is calculated risk, and not putting all your money at stake and taking a gamble. If you take the time to test, tweak and improve your ads as well as creating a powerful foundation for your AdWords ads, then there's nothing that can stand in your way.
