By Carl Campbell

The Internet has grown into a hit sensation in today's world. The Web has brought with it a long list of wonders and magical experiences that make life and communications easier and more manageable for the general population. Despite its perceived importance, the Internet remains susceptible to the strategies of cyber criminals and web scammers.

This concept of an unsecure Web has been echoed once more when the website of Go Daddy, one of the biggest domain hosting and DNS providers in USA, was subjected to hacker attacks. Amid raging fury of clients and site owners, Go Daddy handled the technical glitch within a 24 hour timeframe. Thanks to Twitter, the service provider easily sent out updates to its customer base and followers. It issued a statement saying that Go Daddy's technical staff has concentrated on solving technical glitches.

Interestingly, the account owner of AnonymousOwn3r twitter account claimed responsibility for the incident. AnonymousOwn3r account owner mentioned that taking down Go Daddy's site, along with other websites, was not so complicated. AnonymousOwn3r is believed to be affiliated with an online activist group.

Hacking seems to be at the focal point of cyber crimes over the years. Now that a new breed of unscrupulous tech masters and cyber geeks are out to damage business operations and online systems for various purposes, entrepreneurs should know the importance of advanced Web security.

What is the lesson behind the Go Daddy issue? Web security must be emphasised at all times. Websites must have adequate protection against scams, frauds and hacks. If you want to thwart possible hacker attacks, hire the professional services of a web development company that specialises in addressing the vulnerable spots of certain web sites.
